Has Rust on a Fire Truck ever been the cause of an accident?

I'm doing this for a cl project, and it has to be about Cancer, with a fire fighter relation. I'm doing the Cancer of a vehicle! Hee hee. So, does anyone know if Rust has ever prevented a fire truck from getting to it's destination, or been the cause of an accident? Right now, all I've got is advise to watch out for rust in the brake shoes. Any help is really appreciated! Thanks!
