2 days past due date,1 cm dialation @ 40 weeks,(no thinning) Anyone else have a similar situation?

The baby is down and heading the right way, just no BH or contractions. Just a twinge now and then. Only been dialated 1 cm for a few days. The baby is healthy, and the whole 9 monthe (10 MONTHS!) have been fine. I Have a 41 week appt. coming up. Should I ask to induce? Anyone else have similar pregnancy?
